South Central College is a Minnesota Community and Technical College with a history of academic excellence since 1946. The college has campuses in two great communities: Faribault and North Mankato.
Technical Majors
In addition to the Liberal Arts and Sciences major, the college provides over 50 technical majors in agribusiness, business, construction technology, health and safety, and industrial technology.
Liberal Arts and Sciences – Associate in Arts Degree
South Central College provides the first two years of general education coursework in an Associate in Arts degree. SCC offers a wide variety of courses under the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC), which will transfer to any institution in the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system, or to the University of Minnesota. A growing trend among students of all ages is to start at SCC and then transfer to a four-year college or university.
Affordable and Flexible Education
SCC offers exceptional value, combining high quality instruction with less expensive tuition/fees than many other two and four year schools. Compare tuition and you could save $3000 or more during your first two years. Financial aid in the form of grants, student loans and workstudy is available to qualifying students to make college even more affordable. SCC annually awards over 1/4 million dollars in scholarships to deserving students just like you, based on academic achievement and financial need.
Degree programs are designed to make earning your degree convenient and possible. Flexible options for learning include part-time schedule, evening degree completion and online classes.
